Akihisa Mitsuhashi joined Corning in 1982 as marketing specialist for Corning Japan K.K’s Specialty Materials Division in Tokyo. He was named sales manager of the Electronic Materials Division of Corning Japan K.K.(CJKK) in 1985, and sales manager of Precision Flat Glass for CJKK in 1987.
In 1992 Mitsuhashi became marketing manager of Corning Asahi Video Products in Corning, N.Y. He then returned to Japan to become general manager of CJKK’s commercial operations.
In 1998 he was appointed deputy director of the same division and he assumed the role of director of commercial operations, a member of board of directors in 1999.
Effective January 1, 2002, he is appointed president of Corning Japan K.K.
